Self guided Walk Markers Repainted in Marshall Historic District
In 2012 about 4.5 miles of Marshall sidewalks were marked with Green and Red Walk symbols to showcase 19th century architecture. Repainting by Martin Overhiser and crew aims to refresh faded markers and replace ones removed by a downtown tree project, with work finishing by May’s end. The Green Walk links 200 plus historic homes and mixed landmarks, while the Red Walk covers downtown structures and museums. The River Walk and other self guided routes remain open, with tips from Scott Fleming of MAEDA and Marshall Welcome Center staff.
