Albion annexation vote moves district into Marshall Public Schools
Albion residents approved annexation by Marshall Public Schools 628 to 528 in a May 3 vote with about 30 percent turnout. The Albion district will join MPS effective July 1, transferring assets and liabilities as the new model aims to expand educational opportunities with partners Starr Commonwealth Kellogg Community College Albion College and regional industry. Superintendent Randy Davis says implementation will begin after the start of the new school year and require reinvestment.
