Benefit dinner and auctions for Eli Edwards event set

A spaghetti dinner to aid premature baby Eli Edwards is planned for April 20 at the First United Methodist Church in Albion and April 21 at the Eagles lodge in Jackson. Eli, born May 17, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital weighing 1 lb 7 oz, has spent his life in NICUs and may be released soon.

Final round set for Miller College Children's Literature Project

Dozens of third to sixth graders from Marshall and Tekonsha schools advance to the final judging round of the Miller College Children’s Literature Project. The contest, drawing entries from Calhoun and Eaton counties, will select 36 winners across Best Illustration, Best Writing, and Best Overall Book in each grade group.
