City of Marshall Recreation Department invites K to 8 students to Animal Adventures during Spring Break, April 5 6 and 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Public Service Building 900 S Marshall Ave. Each day includes a mini hike and picnic at Ketchum Park a movie at Bohm Theatre and a wildlife monarch education at Brooks Nature Area. Registration closes March 31 space is limited. Cost 31 for City residents 43 others with 5 discount if registered by March 24. Transportation snacks and field trips included. Anna Williams a tenth grader at Olivet High School received a $2000 Michigan State University Pre-College Achievement Scholarship. She qualified as an 8-10 grade student for 2015 16 who attended an MSU summer pre college program last year. Williams participated in Exploration Days one of six MSU Extension 4 H Youth Development pre college offerings.
Marshall District Library offers K to 5 students Wednesday programs in March. Book Cooks on March 23 from 5 30 to 6 30 p m features reading and a snack related to the story. Pajama Night March 30 from 6 to 7 p m invites pajamas, stuffed animals, hot chocolate, and bedtime stories. Registration is required by visiting the Help Desk or calling 269 781 7821 ext 10.
