Local educator Tommy Kawel adopts Marshall as hometown
Tommy Kawel, a mid twenty-something educator, husband, and community volunteer born in Cleveland, now calls Marshall Michigan home. He grew up in Farmington Hills, attended Detroit Catholic Central, and shifted from Albion College arts education to English and history. At Marshall Middle School he aims to inspire students with history, self esteem, and global awareness while embracing Marshall’s arts scene and rural Michigan setting.
