Marshall schools budget shows million-dollar deficit again
The Marshall Public Schools Board approved the 2012 13 general fund budget June 25 amid a deficit of over 1 million dollars after 1 million in cuts. Expenditures exceeded revenues, depleting fund balance to negative 122 thousand, with a projected 1 156 602 deficit for 2012 13 and fund equity decline from just over 2 million to near zero.
