Marshall Public Schools Board approved the final 2012 13 general fund budget after dipping into cash reserves by just over 1 million to balance the budget leaving fund balance at 180 210 The district outlined 2013 14 deficit reduction measures totaling about 1 44 million and planned staff additions while awaiting grants and state funding The superintendent noted Albion student transitions and upcoming bond projects and a strong kindergarten class prompting additional sections and new roles at Marshall High School and Marshall Middle School.
