Fire damages auto collision shop after lightning strike
Marshall Township firefighters responded around 9 pm on June 18 to David Brown's Auto Collision at 13333 1S Mile Rd for a attic fire likely sparked by a lightning strike during a severe storm. Owner Brown had just left the building 30 minutes earlier and said an employee called 911 as wires were reported down.

Police report describes a blaze at a two building in Fredonia Two area. Fire personnel from Marengo Two and Marshall fire departments assisted. Fifteen trusses burned while the attic mostly stayed intact. Firefighters later used a second truck as the ceiling began to cave in. Insurance crew expected to patch. Power restored by Tuesday.
