Ethanol letters defend its role in energy and economy
A reader letter from The Andersons responds to a June 11 piece claiming ethanol raises fuel costs. It cites a Center for Agricultural and Rural Development report showing 2010 savings, notes ethanol blends reduce foreign oil use, cites Albion gas prices, and argues ethanol safe for engines and helps cleaner burning. It adds that food price rises are driven more by energy costs, weather, and demand.
