City seeks grant for school resource officer
Marshall Police Department aims to restore a School Resource Officer with Marshall Public Schools support. City Council approved applying for a Byrne Grant covering about 62 percent of costs, with the city and MPS negotiating the remaining 38 percent and in-kind contributions. The three year cost totals about 201,748 dollars with four year grant outcomes still to be determined.
