Bobby Holley began crawling from Battle Creek Central High School at 10 a.m. on May 28 to Albion, aiming to influence the Albion Public School Board to keep Albion High School open or unite Marshall and Albion communities amid a merger. He crawled through rain and wind, passing W. Michigan Ave in Marshall on May 29 around 3 p.m., receiving food and encouragement from locals including an Albion High School grad.
Davenport University announced that Christine Tobin of Albion joined more than 2 000 graduates completing degrees in business technology or health professions at winter 2013. Nearly 1 000 students attended the April 28 downtown Grand Rapids ceremony. The private non profit university founded in 1866 serves over 11 000 students across Michigan and online.
