Mike Eakins Memorial Best Ball Golf Tourney Set in Battle Creek
The Others Battle Creek community fund plans its 6th annual Mike Eakins Memorial Best Ball Golf Tournament on August 12 at Marywood Golf Course Pennfield. Proceeds fund locker program supplies for Harper Creek schools and other local projects benefiting over 200 students in 2016 17. KCC to Host Youth Baseball Clinic in Battle Creek
Kellogg Community College’s nationally ranked baseball team will run a three hour youth clinic at Bailey Park Morrison Field on August 12 for ages 7 to 13. The session covers defense and hitting from 8 30 to 11 30 a m with a 25 fee that includes a T shirt and a World Series ticket.

The Hubbard Memorial Museum Foundation invites the public to Civil War Days in Concord at Paddock Hubbard House 317 Hanover St on Saturday July 29 from 10 am to 4 pm. An afternoon skirmish features two opposing brigades with demonstrations and crafts such as sheep shearing spinning blacksmithing quilting and knitting by local participants.
