NTSB cites Enbridge failures in 2010 oil spill
The NTSB cites organizational failures and weak regulation as the cause of Enbridge Line 6B rupturing on July 25, 2010, spilling over 840 000 gallons of crude into Michigan wetlands. The report details ignored shutdown procedures, inadequate control room training, and a culture of deviance, with recommendations to PHMSA and other agencies and a forthcoming full report.

KCC Provides Space for Michigan State Trooper on Campus
Kellogg Community College offers office space on its Battle Creek campus for Michigan State Police Community Service Trooper Kristi Angelo in the Criminal Justice area on the third floor of the Lane-Thomas Building. Angelo, serving Sun District in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo County, arrived in July as the MSP post in Battle Creek closes. College police chief Tim Hurtt says the arrangement costs the college nothing and aids crime prevention education while giving Angelo a visible campus presence. For more information, contact Hurtt at 269-965-303 ext. 2223 or hurtt@kellogg.edu.
