Marshall Area Tourism Push Highlighted by Officials
Calhoun County commissioners heard from Dwight Butt and Karen Hagerty about an extensive Marshall tourism program. They cited magazines, newspapers, TV, Christmas events and billboards, plus plans to use visitor guides and Michigan welcome centers to attract visitors. 2008 tourism supported 3,339 jobs and $203 million in spending. leisure travel rose while business travel slipped.
