Marshall Public Schools elects officers for 2010-11
At the July 12 organizational meeting the Marshall Public Schools Board named Ali Webb president Vic Potter vice president Annette Campau secretary and Bill DeSmet treasurer for 2010-11. Randy Davis praised Webb’s performance as president as the board set 7 p.m. work and 7 p.m. business sessions on the second and fourth Mondays each month with two combined sessions planned for December 13.

Public hearing and vision screenings offered for Calhoun children
Calhoun County Public Health Department extends free hearing and vision screenings for children ages three to five who attend school or are homeschooled in Calhoun County. Appointments run through August 27, 2010 at 190 E. Michigan Ave., Battle Creek, with Heidi Fast available at 969-6389 to schedule. Technicians will also screen children during most Kindergarten Round-up events at area schools.
