Calhoun County Doctors Earn Blue Cross PCMH Designation
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan designated 13 Calhoun County physicians including four from Marshall as Patient-Centered Medical Home PCMH physicians. The program, largest in the nation, aims to redesign primary care with coordinated teams, extended access, nutrition counseling, and ongoing health management to improve outcomes for about two million Michigan residents. Designated Marshall doctors include David Byrens, Thomas Dobbins, Mark Machalka, and Lauren Piper. Battle Creek physicians are Peter Ansorge, Debra Beard, John Collins, Bruce Galonsky, Richard Kranz, Rose Lovio, Troy Pascoe, Philip Placin, and James Vanhuysen.
