Marshall water defender wins statewide award
Cheryl Vosburg of Marshall earned the Groundwater Management Professional of the Year from the Michigan Water Environment Association at a Boyne Mountain ceremony on June 23. A 16 year city employee, she directs environmental programs and volunteers with Well Head Protection Area, Groundwater Guardian, and Kalamazoo River projects while promoting community water education.

WIC Project FRESH Visits Calhoun County Area
WIC Project FRESH will visit Calhoun County offering coupons to low income mothers to purchase Michigan grown fruit and vegetables from area farms. Attendees must attend an informational class and bring WIC bridge cards with dates set for Wednesday July 15 at 2 pm in Springfield Farmers Market, Friday July 17 at 3 30 pm Burnham Brook, and Friday July 24 at 3 30 pm.
