Oaklawn CEO Receives Meritorious Service Award
Rob Covert, chief executive of Oaklawn Hospital, was honored with the Michigan Health & Hospital Association Meritorious Service Award at the annual meeting aboard Mackinac Island. The award, given since 1953, recognizes outstanding service to Michigan hospitals and their communities. Covert joined Oaklawn as controller in 1972 and four years later advanced to CEO.

Diabetes Support Group meets Monday in Coldwater
The Community Health Center of Branch County Diabetic Education department hosts a free monthly Diabetes Support Group meeting on Monday July 9 from 6 30 to 8 p m in the Community Care and Conference Center. Guest speaker Jessica Reed RD discusses fiber in a diabetic diet and how to include it, with focus on diabetes management. The group meets second Monday every other month and invites the public.
