Emergency long term campsite demo to teach survival skills
The Emergency Prep Group will demonstrate an emergency long term campsite behind the LDS Meetinghouse north of Marshall on July 9 at 7 pm. The session covers shelter heat light food sanitation water supply and security for staying away from home for extended periods. The public is invited and no membership fees apply. Kiss a Pig Contest at Relay For Life slated for July 19 20
Team Ceresco contestants including Nye Kempf Stealy compete for votes to kiss a pig at the Calhoun County Fairgrounds during Relay For Life. Others include Morning Mayor Dave Eddy Dick Schlee and Russ Clutter. Votes accepted until 1 p.m. July 20 with the kiss at 2:30 p.m. Proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
