Harry Thompson Turns 105 in Marshall Celebration
Longtime Marshall resident Harry Thompson, born in 1907 in Toledo, marked his 105th birthday on January 12 with family and community festivities. He delivered papers as a youth, graduated from Marshall High School in 1925, earned a pharmacy degree, and worked as a pharmacist plus 50 years at Brooks Rupture Co. He shared life with wife Mabel Peters, then Harriet Wilson Thompson, survived by daughter Judy Kidder and son Dave. A heart attack slowed him last fall, but he still enjoys reading and his annual Mackinac Bridge Labor Day walk memory. 105 balloons honored him on Sunday January 15.
