Marshall Board moves to annex Albion Public Schools
The Marshall Public Schools Board of Education approved pursuing annexation with Albion Public Schools in a Jan. 11 vote. Albion must approve ballot language by Feb. 9 and voters will decide May 3 if Michigan approves Marshall 22g funding to cover a $3.6 million Albion debt and transition costs. If the grant fails, options include dissolution or charter partnerships, with Albion bearing the debt.
