Nottawaseppi Band Pays FireKeepers $4.8 Million Feb 14
The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi gave FireKeepers Casino’s Local Revenue Sharing Board more than $4.8 million on February 14, 2010, for 2010. Combined with $1.9 million for early 2009, total disbursements reach nearly $7 million. Board chair Greg Moore notes the payout reflects casino success. See story on page 12.

MHS girls extend win streak to five games
The Marshall High School girls varsity basketball team pushed its winning streak to five with a 54 34 victory over Benton Harbor on February 15, improving to a 12 6 record. The boys team meanwhile extended its home win streak to four with a February 11 win over Coldwater, and senior Meg Dubois signed to play soccer at Siena Heights University next fall.
