Marshall officers responded to a Clinton Street residence on January 29 around 8 p.m. A 22-year-old woman reported a dog stolen. a possible suspect was identified and the case remains open pending further investigation.
Marshall police investigated a case from the 100 block of S Jefferson St where a 4 year old failed to pay a $20 haircut. A payment notice was given to a 40 year old male. The case remains open awaiting compliance and potential charges by the city attorney.
Police were dispatched to 400 block Ferguson St after a larceny report. A 19 year old brother living at the residence allegedly took an Xbox two games and a controller from his 15 year old sister’s bedroom. Parents declined charges and requested an informational report.
Calhoun County Sheriff's Department reports three scam calls last week in which a caller posed as Lt Frank Rogers of the department and demanded missed fines. The agency stresses no legitimate call would threaten incarceration and advises contacting local law enforcement if approached.
Police seek a 29 year old intoxicated man who entered a business on E Michigan Ave around 2 am, threatened an employee after being refused more alcohol, grabbed the phone from the victim and threw punches. The case is open with charges under review by Calhoun County Prosecutor's Office.
At 2:30 a.m. Marshall officers responded to threats reported in the 900 block of Industrial Ad. A 40-year-old female victim said a male co-worker threatened to poison her drinks. Officers contacted the parties and filed an informational report. Investigation remains open.

Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall went into lockdown after a threatening call on January 31. Staff quickly secured the site and law enforcement from the Marshall Regional Law Enforcement Center assisted. The lockdown ended about three hours later with the arrest of a suspect not in the area.
Marshall Police Department announces a week long enforcement in the Michigan Avenue and Kalamazoo Avenue area from February 4 to 10.
