Albion Health Dept Revises Office Hours in Albion
The Albion location of the Calhoun County Public Health department will start new hours on January 2 at 101 N. Albion Street. Monday hours are 8 to 12 and by appointment. Tuesday 8 to 12 and 1 to 5 with TB tests and immunizations. Wednesday walk‑ins 8 to 11 and 1 to 4 for TB tests and pregnancy tests.

Jeanie is a buff colored female cat born in February 2012 found as a stray. She is affectionate and playful and gets along with other cats, best in a family with kids eight or older. The Humane Society of South Central Michigan lists many cats and dogs for adoption and notes all animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. The shelter at 2500 Watkins Road is open Tuesday through Friday and Saturday, with hours varying.

Region ready for winter weather in Southwest Michigan
MDOT Southwest Region holds more than 50,000 tons of salt at about 60 per ton with nine crews and 100 plows ready for the first snow.
