Fire Department searches for missing husband in Verona Road blaze
Marshall Fire Department crews arrived at Stella Miller's Verona Road home around noon on December 12 to find her outside the burning structure. She said she did not know her husband’s whereabouts. Assistant Fire Chief Bill Hankinson said responders sought the man, and about 30 minutes later he was found in downtown Marshall.

Josh Parks Memorial Scholarship Event Dec 18
The 1st Annual Joshua L. Parks Memorial MSU Scholarship Event is Sunday Dec 18 at 1 pm at Marshall Lanes. Josh Parks, Marshall High School 2007 graduate and MSU attendee, died in March 2009 at age 20 after an on campus car accident. His mother says the event honors his concept of paying it forward.
