Great Escape Stage Company opens Plaid Tidings Thursday in Marshall with two returning Plaids and two local performers. The holiday musical pairs 1950s favorites with classic Plaids style, running Dec 6 to Dec 16 with ten shows plus added weekend matinee and Wednesday night. Dr Francesca Nielsen Joins Humane Society in Battle Creek
Dr Francesca Nielsen begins a part time veterinarian role with the Humane Society of South Central Michigan in Battle Creek. Her first surgery day was November 29. She earned a DVM from Virginia–Maryland Regional College in 2011 and an Animal Sciences degree from the University of New Hampshire. She works three days weekly at Operation Fix It Veterinary for Kalamazoo Humane Society. Francesca lives in Battle Creek with fiancé Stephen and enjoys horseback riding, reading, music and cooking.
