Marshall City approves tax abatement for Tenneco
The Marshall City Council approved an industrial facilities tax abatement for Tenneco totaling 109000 in property taxes over 12 years as the company invests over 4.2 million in personal property and creates 54 new jobs while retaining 99. Tenneco plans final assembly of diesel filters for customers in Missouri Indiana and Flint and expects space expansion. The council also created districts 31 and 32 to enable future abatements for Dark Horse Brewery Co and Laserdyne and discussed a medical marijuana ordinance at a work session.
