Calhoun County Fair kicks off 162nd year at Marshall grounds
Michigan's oldest fair opens at the Calhoun County Fairgrounds on Capital Hill in Marshall. Fair Manager Charlie Letts notes 162 years of tradition as the event showcases 24 buildings a half mile track and a 2 400 seat grandstand. Local 4-H projects from photography horticulture sewing and cooking compete with displays judged and archived during the week.
