Yelling after fight leads to disorderly conduct arrest
Marshall police responded to a fight near 100 block of West Michigan Avenue on April 21 about 11 30 pm. Three intoxicated suspects were contacted and a 27 year old man, warned twice, continued yelling causing a disturbance and was arrested for disorderly conduct and lodged at Calhoun County Jail.

Indiana man arrested for marijuana and handgun
A Calhoun County deputy stopped a speeding vehicle on I 69 near Convis Two on April 23 at 12 19 pm. Odor of marijuana led to a search revealing seven marijuana plants and a loaded handgun. The 30 year old Griffin Indiana man was arrested for possession with intent to deliver carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a firearm during a felony. Name withheld pending arraignment.

Man cited for hit and run accident in Marshall
In Marshall on April 24 at about 2 30 a.m. witnesses described a pickup truck that struck a utility pole at W Hanover St and S Grand St. The pole was broken and arcing power lines. Fire and electric crews secured the scene. The truck was found the next day and the male driver admitted to the crash. A citation issued for failure to stop and identify at a property damage accident.

Albion police responded to Lynn Street after a 10 year old reported a white male in his 30s in a car asking to come over and look at his stuff. He then offered to show a burnout before fleeing when a friend appeared. The driver claimed he was a relative. the boy did not recognize him and no abduction occurred.
