The council schedules a public hearing on electric water and sewer rate changes for April 18. A September plan authorized an electric rate analysis by Courtney & Associates up to 25000 and water and wastewater analysis by Utility Financial Solutions up to 17700. Results led to a subcommittee and proposed rates to take effect in May including a $6.97 monthly electric reduction for an average residential customer.
The council will vote April 18 at 7 p.m. on water and sewer rate changes for residential commercial and industrial customers starting May and again in 2012 and 2013. They approved AMP Ohio tree trimming for 50000, a rental rehab grant of 280000, four sculptures for Carver Park, a cooperative assessing agreement, and renovations at Brooks Field Airport. A work session is set for April 14 to review the 2012 budget, Marian Johnson was reappointed to the Local Advisory Board, and applications open for an Airport Board seat.
Dr. Nathan Landesman, gastroenterologist with Digestive Health Center and Battle Creek Health System, will speak on IBS and celiac disease as part of Senior Health Partners Aging Well. The free program on April 14 starts with lunch at 11:30 a.m. and lecture at noon at Burnham Brooks. seating is limited and reservations are required.
