Community Music School to host 5K Zombie Run Walk
The Community Music School of The Music Center sponsors the Community Music School 5K Zombie Run Walk on Kellogg Community College campus April 29. Registration opens 8:30 a.m. with race starts at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. for walkers. Early signups run through April 14, with details on YourMusicCenter.org.

MACC invites volunteers for Marshall Tree Sale event
The Marshall Area Conservation Committee MACC will host The Greening of Marshall Tree Sale on Saturday April 29 from 9 am to noon. Residents may reserve a subsidized tree for 20 dollars with limited quantities available. Species include maple oak tulip cherry crabapple dogwood and more.

Free hunter boater ORV safety classes set
Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department offers free safety courses in hunter boater and ORV safety for 2017 with winter snowmobile safety. Spring sessions run April 10 17 18 19 and 20 at MRELC Marshall. boater sessions May 6 Albion and May 27 Marshall. Fall hunter boater safety mid September to October at Pennfield Homer and Marshall sites. ORV safety June 10 at MRELC, snowmobile safety December 9 at MRELC.
