Children’s Aid annual meeting outlines county welfare work
The Children’s Aid Society of Halton County held its May 6 meeting at St. Paul’s United Church Milton with about 100 attendees. Rev Blair offered prayer, G Thompson reviewed the year’s work noting 207 children in 37 protection cases, 23 wards after court action, and remarks on health and welfare in rural Ontario by Dr James McMather. Officers and directors were named, a Royal York conference invitation extended, and a memorial luncheon followed, with sports results and a note on taxes in car prices.
