Sewerage System Mark Of Progress For Town
Acton celebrates the opening of its sewerage disposal system and sewer project noting past costs and borrowing rates. The piece recalls earlier waterworks plans from 1945, the shift from wells and privies to centralized water and sewage, and the town’s progression with low 2 percent interest debentures. It reflects pride in progress and the town’s growth.
