Police warn after Conran posed as an inspector and urged residents to phone a special number. Legitimate officers or bank inspectors contact locals in person, with bank issues routed through local managers Chester Anderson or Ted Pratt. Out of town investigators require two officers, one local, to accompany a bank visit. Citizens should stay on the line, avoid sharing details, and report suspicious calls, as three similar incidents were noted last week in Guelph.
