Miss Dorothea Shute of N visited Miss Shepard over the weekend. Mrs. Thomas W. Ryan traveled to Norwood Friday due to her sister’s death. Rachael Damon completed her freshman year at Smith College and returned home for summer. Schools close Friday for vacation. The Ladies Sodality of Help of Christians Church met Tuesday evening. Newton hosted a ball game drawing many Concord Junction fans. Winslow J. Damon excused from jury duty subject to call.
Langdon Goddard entertained a group of his boy friends Saturday afternoon at his Central Street home. The afternoon featured games and refreshments arranged by Goddard, with all plans organized by him.
The annual meeting of the Village Improvement Society will be held Friday evening in West Concord school hall. Officers will be elected and committee reports acted upon. The society seeks new members and urges all interested in its work to attend.
