Miss Mary Walsh of Cambridge was a Sunday guest at J. W. Millbury’s. Miss Mary V. Tewksbury finished teaching duties in Lexington Friday. The Dumaines moved to their Magnolia summer home. The Coolidges left for Cotuit for the summer. Miss Marion Towne will teach English and commercial studies at Hudson High School. Mrs. A B Hitchcock chaired Radcliffe Class of 1905 picnic at Devereaux on Wednesday.

Narrow Escape From Death In Turners Falls Crash
Two Maynard teachers, principal C W Millar and his fiancee Edna Locke, plunged from a canal embankment after missing a bridge while driving home from Springfield. Millar saved Locke, but Millar drowned after weeks of search. Locke recovered though shocked. The incident shocked Maynard and Turners Falls residents, with Millar's future marriage to Miss Locke noted.
