W C T U Social Attracts Large Attendance Adds Seven Members
The W C T U held its annual social at Mrs. Martin Wood’s home with a large turnout and seven new members. President Mrs. Dudley spoke of the delegation visit to Llewsac Lodge in Bedford aiding homes for working women. The group supports flower mission work linked to Frances Willard settlement and sends fruit to the same outreach. Former president Mrs. Clara Nash was made an honorary life member, with a thank you letter read by Miss Nellie Wetherbee. The gathering honored 24 years of temperance work and included a report on the Framingham county convention by Miss Fletcher, followed by a luncheon and social hour.
