A special election will be held Tuesday June 13 to choose delegates for a Constitutional Convention on ratifying or rejecting the Prohibition amendment. The ballot lists three delegates for and three against repeal. Another question asks if licenses may be granted to sell wines and malt beverages. Polls open at Cooperative Hall from 2 to 8 pm.

Frances Welsh of Ayer Dies After Illness
Mrs Frances Welsh died in Ayer Massachusetts on May 27 after a period of poor health. She planned to return to Tunbridge Vermont where most household goods were shipped. Surviving are four sons and three daughters. Funeral was held in Ayer and committal in Tunbridge with Rev Arthur Beckett officiating.

Murder attempt and shooting near Marlboro street home
Mrs Margaret J O R is in critical condition at Marlboro hospital after a husband James O Reilly shot at her near 156 Cox street while she refused to sign a real estate transfer.
