Patriots Day Observance Marks Concord Junction Celebration
Concord Junction held its first Patriots Day observance on April 19 with speeches by Hon. Prescott Keyes and Congressman John Jacob Rogers though Governor Walsh failed to attend. Children’s programs, a 30-voice chorus, a flag drill, and a minuet led by Miss Viola Russell and Miss Margaret Adams highlighted the town’s patriotic celebration.

Maynard Safes Too Large Delay Building Access
Maynard faces a snag as new safes ordered to match existing ones with thicker walls do not fit through the Wilding building doors. Daniel Parmenter struggles to move them into George Creighton’s structure as the owner demands door entry only. The prior board had agreed on size parity, risking further delays and contractor issues. Miss Maud Ryley of Attleboro is visiting the Maynards.
