Elma July 10 The half mile track at the fair grounds nears completion with grading done and plans to surface with dirt or clay. President Manager George Simpson leads the push to finish grounds and buildings for the October fair. Cattle sheds stock sheds and a grand stand will be built and the premium list nears completion with local businesses offered advertising space.

Montesano July 10 Superin tendent of Schools-elect Hodge spent Sunday and Monday in Montesano. He is taking a summer course in agriculture at the experimental station in Puget Sound and finds it very interesting. He plans to teach farmers more intelligently after completing the course.
