Drowned Man at White Star Mill Pond Near Elma

Charles Jessup drowned while crossing the large pond at the White Star mill near Elma Monday morning. He was alone. friends searched after dinner prayers until about 4 o'clock, finding the body. His watch stopped at 8, and coroner Campbell held an inquest at Hoquiam on Tuesday with a verdict of accidental drowning.
