Calvert Injured in Calvert Gunnery Press Room Incident
A. O. Calvert of Buckstand, in charge of Calvert Gunnery operations, was seriously hurt when a press block fell in the Gin plant press room. He suffered a head laceration, a broken finger, and mashed fingers, received treatment at County Hospital, and will be sidelined for a period. Irwin Cleckley of Lowndesville visited town today.

Georgian Thinks Stay Law Would Solve Situation
Atlanta December 2 Governor Hugh Dorsey may call an extra session to enact a stay law or moratorium for 12 months. Commissioner J J Brown urged a written memorandum, citing foreclosures on livestock and farm equipment. He said broad foreclosure would ruin farmers and not help creditors, and that similar laws in cotton states would be needed for full benefit.
