Abbeville County Teachers Association held its December session in the county courthouse with Supt J D Fulp presiding. Elections filled the secretary and treasurer posts, and a dues rate of 1.00 was approved for the next meeting set at 12 30 p m January 15 in Abbeville. Transportation for rural teachers was proposed to ensure attendance, with a noon luncheon planned.

Little Girl Drowns After Fall Into Well
In Anderson on Friday three year old Vivian Hiott fell through a rotten plank into a well while playing near the White Plains area. Despite repeated rescues by her father and a young man lowered into the well, she died before reaching the top. Funeral held in Wileyhamston Saturday.

Physicians Perform Unusual Operation
