A bandit held up the Sunoco service station at Putnam avenue and Adams street early today. He demanded cash from attendant Garrett Dunnington at gunpoint, stealing about 45 dollars in cash plus coins, bills, and a check worth 937 dollars. The suspect fled in a nearby car. he is described as about five feet nine inches, 160 pounds, wearing dark clothes and thick glasses. Detective Ivan Penn is investigating.
Pan American Airways' 41 ton Dixie Clipper completes second leg of inaugural Europe flight.
