David Harold Dale, 23, of 1183 Jail Avenue, is in serious condition at Bethesda Hospital after his car crashed through a guard rail on Halt Avenue and plunged down 236 feet. The vehicle rolled several times before stopping near Fernanda Street. Patrolman Powell said speed was a factor as Dale lost control on the unpaved street. An examination by Dr. R. C Beardsley indicated a broken neck. The machine was heavily damaged.
