Caldwell Street youth 19, Joseph Norman, arrested in Columbus after a 24 hour manhunt for a wave of burglaries in the Terrase section. Fingerprints tied him to recent break ins on Adair Avenue, Fairmont Avenue, Taylor Street, Caldwell Street, and Bellettort. Norman, with prior record and suspended sentence, confessed to multiple thefts including an Elgin watch and other valuables.
Columbus June 19 17 Gov Martin L Davey denounced the Canton strike violence as a kidnapping violation and pressed Mayor James Seccombe to arrest and prosecute those involved He warned that failure to protect citizens would reflect on law enforcement and hinted the Ohio National Guard could be deployed if local authorities do not maintain order The governor also stressed peace and civil rights as a state responsibility while noting the steel dispute's federal mediation efforts continue.

Washington June 31 – James L Musgrove a Republic Steel Warren plant employee testified before the senate post office committee that pickets fired on him as he tried to reach work at Republic's Niles plant and later another group tied his hands stripped him coated him with grease and beat him with a pipe and iron bar They threatened to hang him He and others attempted to enter the Niles plant after being blocked by pickets bearing baseball bats at the gates The committee heard testimony from factory officials and postal service agents about the use of firearms in the labor dispute
Marion reports the death of 19 year old William Thylor of Butyrus in a crash involving a motorcyclist and an automobile driven by Mea Hagel Relly of Martot. Police investigated the incident occurring near June 19.
