Butte, Mont June 14 police and federal agents raid a mountain cabin four miles east of the city, finding clues they say place outlaw William Mahan in hiding. Covington Ky June 14 Three persons were killed and another seriously injured today when struck by a Louisville & Nashville passenger train in a tunnel near Ryland Kenton county. The victims, all said to be related, had been picking strawberries when rain forced them into the tunnel. They stood on one track as a northbound freight neared and moved to the opposite track, where a southbound passenger train struck them.
Joseph Steinmetz, 22, convicted of shooting his bride after finding her partially dressed in the priest’s presence. General Sessions Judge Nott sentenced him to eight to ten years in prison. The event followed the shooting of Rev. John J. Leonard, chaplain at Morris Mail home for the need in Lawrenceville. The state indicated it will not pursue additional charges.
London reports confirm a bilateral naval pact restricting Germany to 38 percent of Britain’s fighting strength. Hitler assent was conveyed to foreign secretary Sir L. Eyewitnesses say the bin filled with hot clay, trapping Smith and suffocating him after attempts to reach him failed. Chicago June 14 A federal judge directed a jury to return verdicts of acquittal for Samuel Insull Louis son and Harald L in a bankruptcy law violation case. The judge stated the proof did not support guilt and expressed confidence in the acquittal.

Henry Tague, 18, was hospitalized at Good Samaritan with a bullet wound from an 11 year old Douglas Park of Charlotte North Carolina. Firemen found the woman's body in a bathroom shower area after flames broke from a neighboring apartment.
In Madison Wisconsin on June 14 Misa Caryel Morse of the Interchurch Council spoke at a senate committee hearing on radicalism at the University of Wisconsin. A witness alleged 25 students belonged to a radical group. Morse challenged committee members and elders, arguing the concern over youth and morality.
