Three injured in weekend traffic accidents in Sonora

Three persons were injured in weekend traffic incidents around Sonora. A driver struck a tree and a nearby house as a vehicle veered Saturday night, sending eight year old David Lee Halley and his father to Good Samaritan Hospital with head and vital injuries. Hattie Leasure, 72, was treated at Bethesda Hospital for shock after a collision near Rural Dale. The other driver, Perry Leasure, faced no immediate details.

Two Die in Truck Crash Near North Ridgeville

In Lyria Ohio two men died in a truck collision when oxygen tanks exploded after a second truck struck theirs on Route 20 near North Ridgeville. The other driver, identified by police as Waiter 7, 50, of Elyma, escaped the fire. Residences reported shattered windows as the blaze engulfed the scene. Funeral arrangements were not immediately announced.

Three Sons Injured In Potsdam Train Wreck

A head-on collision four miles south of Potsdam at a station injured three sons of Alfred Farnsworth and related crew. Alfred Farnsworth of Norwood, David Blake of Albany, and Herman Jaffa of Forest Ave Albany were among hospitalised as Potsdam General Hospital treated the injured and checked four others, with authorities reporting the incident to local hospitals.

Truman Delays Labor Bill Action on Tax Reduction

President Truman will withhold action on the income tax reduction and labor bills until he returns Friday from Canada.
