Minnie Evans of 1014 Monroe Street died at Be thesde hospital from burns suffered three weeks earlier when she fell from a step ladder into a kettle of boiling water while at home. She was sister to the late Dr David Evans former mayor of Zanesville. A retired bookkeeper she worked at the Clarendon hotel and the old H H Sturtevant store. Surviving are a brother Alfred Evans and a sister Mrs Edward B Roemer both of Zanesville, along with a nephew Richard Evans and several nieces and nephews. Funeral at 2 pm Wednesday at the home conducted by Rev Carl Hick sey burial Greenwood cemetery. Body to be moved from Mader Peoples funeral home Tuesday.
