Cattle Judging and Races Feature County Fair Today
Muskingum county fair enters its second day with livestock judging in the morning and race program starting in the afternoon. A horse and saddle show will be judged by Major Kennth Kerr of Lancaster before the gala night show and fireworks. Weather was cool with a light dawn shower helping dust on the half mile track. Yesterday's attendance was 1101 while day one last year drew 1768. Poultry judging highlighted yesterday with winners announced today including grand champion female Dr 0 T Atwell and champion male Robert Henderson. Entries from Springdale poultry farm and Henderson's entries led in firsts and seconds. Marvin Stauffer and C W Sprowls also reported strong showings. First prize for best young pen of buff rocks went to Lester Turn.

Visitor at Fair Victim of Heat
An 80 year old man from Thornville, A. A. Yast, was treated at the Muskingum county fair for heat prostration as hot humid weather persisted. The Red Cross tent provided care then he was moved to his home amid high afternoon temperatures and forecasts of storms.
